The only sim game I have is civ4. Can someone give me a in depth description of rise of nations? What time period does it take place in? How long are games?

The game is about an hour, sometime a little longer. I usually start off at ancient age, build libraries to advance in knowledge and technology, eventually to modern age with nukes + more. If you never played before , I suggest you download the game and play some single player (quick battles - still an hour long) and learn the game a bit before attempting to compete.

Sounds good, it sounds like civ4 but RTS.

Got it now, have a really fast internet connection.
